  • The Planck Vacuum (2010) [Updated 7 years ago]

This paper argues that there is a polarizable vacuum state (the Planck vacuum) that is the source of the quantum vacuum; the free particles; the gravitational, fine structure, and Planck constants; the gravitational field and the spacetime of General relativity; the Maxwell equations and the Lorentz transformation; and the particle Compton relations and the quantum theory.

  • The Magnetic and Faraday Fields as Planck Vacuum Responses (2009) [Updated 1 decade ago]

The electric and magnetic fields of an elementary charge are universally associated with the charge as that charge moves through the void of the classical vacuum. The present paper, however, makes the four-fold argument that: 1) the Planck vacuum (PV), as opposed to the classical vacuum, is polarizable; 2) the only field associated with the charge is a bare, or unscreened, Coulomb field; 3) the magnetic and Faraday fields are PV responses to charge movement; and 4) the Maxwell equations owe their existence to PV polarizability. The Lorentz transformation can be deduced from the results.

  • Origin of the Compton and de Broglie Relations (2008) [Updated 7 years ago]

This paper suggests that the Compton and de Broglie relations have their origin in the Planck vacuum (PV) state as a balance between van-der-Waals- and Coulomb-type forces. The Compton and de Broglie radii of the elementary particles are those radii at which these two forces balance. Calculations suggest that the Einstein field equation describes the curvature of a spacetime associated with the PV. The elementary particles appear to emerge from the PV rather than the relativistic-particle vacuums (e.g. the Dirac vacuum of the electron), which are positive-energy states in the present PV approximation. The most recent model of the PV is presented.

  • A Model for Davies? Universal Superforce (2006) [Updated 7 years ago]

This paper pursues the idea that Nature is controlled by one universal superforce, and suggests a unification of the Newton and Coulomb forces under this universal force. Calculations yield a super-particle (SP) whose parameters define the gravitational, Planck, and fine-structure constants, plus the permittivity and permeability of free space. The superforce is seen to be the source of the zero-point (ZP) electromagnetic fields.
