Description
The picture of space is changing. The former picture, fully codified by 1950, required only gravity to act across cosmological distances. Yet almost all of the great surprises of the space age point to electric currents and associated magnetic fields in space.
An urgent situation must now be confronted. The dogma of a gravity driven universe infected all of the theoretical sciences. It set the boundaries for discussion of universal origins, galaxy formation, the birth of stars, and, in our own cosmic neighborhood, the origin of planets and moons, our Earth included.
Breaking free from these arbitrary constraints will now be essential to the integrity of science. Earth history, the emergence of life, human origins, and even the cosmic environment experienced by our early ancestors must be reconsidered from a new vantage point. And here the concrete convergence of qualified scientific mavericks, each following independent lines of investigation, may offer the most valuable contributions.
