The Concept of Simultaneity in SRT
Year: 2004
The results of special relativity theory (SRT) lead to some controversial conclusions, including the interdependence of the fundamental entities space and time, the essential role of observers in different inertial reference frames in relative motion, and the relativity of simultaneity. An attempt is here made to read between the lines of various propositions suggested by Einstein, and show that the controversial conclusions trace to incomplete or incorrect interpretation of the results of SRT, and that SRT does in fact stand the tests of the day.
