When atomic explosions occur above a city, explosive radiations move outward, and away, and also move inward and toward the earth's center. It was the inward force that destroyed two cities in Japan. For convenience we can label the inward pointing reactions as "implosive" when directed "downward" toward the center of a spherical mass like the earth or sun. In all events, the actions and reactions must follow Sir Isaac Newton's third law: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." There is nothing strange about this old truth, but too often we forget or neglect to account for both.
