A New Appraisal of the Relativistic Quantum

An additional term introduced in a recent modification of the Dirac theory has been shown to produce interesting consequences. Physical quantities, such as the gyromagnetic ratio and the Lamb-shift, which the Dirac equation could not adequately account for, have been calculated (approximately). Though these quantities are obtainable from relativistic QED with higher accuracies, the greater advantage of the modified Dirac equation is exhibited in the consistent calculation of the precessional frequencies of the helicity and angular momenta.
