Description

The Standard Model (of Cosmology) is the collective name given to the generally accepted explanation of the origin and current behaviour of our Universe. It has at its heart, because it relies heavily upon it, the often quoted theory of ?The Big Bang?, along with Einstein?s relativistic theories of gravity and light. For many decades there have been some objectors to and questioners of the Standard Model. Either they feel uncomfortable with its departure from empirical evidence, or they know of alternate theories to account for what we observe, some of which answer many questions that the Standard Model cannot. This presentation is aimed at introducing the reader to one of these alternate theories known as Electric Universe theory, and to provoke questions that inquiring minds may wish to pursue further. It is deliberately broad in scope and sparse in detail to allow those from all disciplines to understand it without the need for dedicated training in any specific field.
