Yull Brown About
World Science Database Profile
(Died: May 22, 1998)
Electrical Engineer, Inventor
Interests: New Energy, Brown's Gas

Born as Ilya Velbov in Bulgaria, in 1922, Yull Brown moved to Australia in 1958 where he worked as a laboratory technician. Trained as an electrical engineer, Yull Brown filed for patents for Brown's gas in 1974, 10 years after William A. Rhodes filed for similar patents for an HHO electrolysis unit.

Most of Yull Brown's demonstration were conducted with welding torches where he showed that hydrogen and oxygen could be separated from water and then burned cleanly using many different objects. There's even a video where Yull Brown not only welds and burns bricks with his Brown's gas generator, he also burns his own arm to the point where his skin bubbles.

Yull Brown spent most of his life convincing others of the commercial viability of his product. He spent 30 years of his life and was able to acquire upwards of $30 million from investors towards commercializing his product.

On May 22, 1998, Yull Brown died at Westmead Hospital in Auburn, Australia. The HHO gas is still called Brown's gas in memorandum to Yull Brown. - Hydrogen Gas Savers
