With the announcement of the recent successful production of a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) of photons, a circle has been completed which started in 1925 with the vision of Albert Einstein and Satyendra Nath Bose ? a sustained macroscopic condensed state of matter where all atoms are in the same lowest quantum state. The creation of an all-optical BEC, involving a surprisingly straightforward ?tabletop? method which bypasses the normally requisite laser/evaporative cooling equipment and ultra-high vacuum chambers necessary for production of the standard delicate atomic BEC, elevates this phenomenon to a new level well beyond its current perception as mere laboratory curiosity. Accordingly, this development certainly heralds eventual incorporation of atomic and photon BECs as standard operating components of energy-efficient mechanical, optical and electrical systems, implying novel ingenious engineering protocols amenable to all the tools of non-linear and quantum optics. Pointing towards such a promising technological future are the suggestion that a photon BEC could serve as a new high-energy ultra-violet (UV) laser photon source, as well as the recent unprecedented implementation of a closed-loop atom circuit (toroidal atomic BEC) demonstrating precise control of superfluid current flow, forecasting the coveted development of an atomic SQUID. Perhaps more significantly, the new highly robust and manageable optical BEC will allow heretofore unfathomable precise probing of the atomic and nano-levels of nature, affording novel high-quality testing procedures of the major foundations of quantum mechanics itself. Such a primary advancement, providing a clearer glimpse into the microscopic realms, may present us as never before with an unprecedented view of the quantum engine that underpins physical reality itself and help place the contextual nature of entanglement and quantum superposition on a firmer foundation. Thus, further progress in achieving mastery over the precise flexible manipulation of BEC states could demonstrate that quantum contextuality might be an unsuspected over-arching archetypal principle in nature, leading to new insight in regards to the interpretation of quantum mechanics as applied to all levels of nature.
Evidence will be presented from a wide spectrum of recent empirical and theoretical research to advance the thesis that the laws of nature, particularly in the astrophysical and microphysical arenas, are in some sense contextual, possibly dependent on both location and to a certain extent direction. The most compelling evidence to date to support this hypothesis will be brought forth ? the surprising 2010 finding that the value of the fine structure constant appears slightly smaller than it was eons ago, if one looks in the northern sky direction, and incrementally higher if one scans the southern sky. This and the ?chameleon? principle, which has been advanced to explain the anomalous acceleration of cosmic expansion, will also be shown to call into question one of the sacrosanct foundational tenets of general relativity, the Equivalence Principle. In the microphysical realm, it will be shown that the principles underlying quantum mechanics, especially superposition and counter-intuitive nature of entanglement, might naturally exhibit contextual qualities that have yet to be recognized and fully probed. In particular, it is argued that further progress in achieving mastery over the precise flexible manipulation of Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) states could demonstrate that quantum contextuality might be an over-arching archetypal principle in nature, leading to new insight in regards to the interpretation of quantum mechanics as applied to all levels of nature Finally, it is demonstrated that this considerably fairly well hidden contextual aspect of natural laws, might be brought to bear to account for physical anomalies heretofore inexplicable using current paradigms, such as the claimed efficacy of homeopathic protocols. Time, space, energy and mass form the four-fold conceptual basis for gauging physical reality. The following paper, as a follow-up to a previous exposition which focused on the necessity to change the current paradigm for time, continues in this same vein, but will also consider in greater depth the interrelations of this phenomenon with the other three yardsticks cited above. Again, information garnered from a wide variety of sources will be considered. We hope to provide, through just such a unique eclectic format, the beginnings of a possible fresh understanding of the workings of nature and perhaps ultimately furnish a conceptual basis for extending the structure of current physical theory to compatibly encompass the elements of a unified framework of physics and metaphysics.
In the former article cited above, by investigating the following varied sources and research, we came to the inescapable conclusion that the phenomena of time and space are considerably more intimately related than is currently suspected by modern science, and will require a drastic re-working to fit the conclusions of the various evidence cited. Towards this end, the adoption of a more expansive paradigm for these yardsticks was suggested, which incorporates a fluid-field nature for time and space where both are derivatives of the fundamental ground-form of energy in flux or oscillation. These new approaches involve the inclusion of a Kozyrev-type of ?substantial?(active) time-flow as opposed to the conventional ?relational?(passive) concept of time, where it is used as a static parameter signifying duration. The substantial aspect of time pre-supposes that it is an essence which can and does affect physical processes, and that those same physical systems can cause a reverse action on time . Such active fluctuating (deformable) types of time or space, implies the establishment of a revolutionary notion: positing completely non-scalable metrics for both time and space. This is in direct contrast to all contemporary orthodox models for physical reality, either in Einsteinean relativity (Special or General theory), quantum field theory, or even superstring/supersymmetric theory, all of which continue to consider both of these yardsticks from their relational (length or durational) standpoints. Consequently, all these formalisms require scalable metrics of some sort for their proper description For instance, in the standard equations of quantum theory, time is regarded merely as an unchangeable static parameter. When we later consider applying these novel substantial aspects of time to the edifice of quantum theory, we will see that time must then become a ?hidden variable?. It will be seen that by considering time in this manner, a clearer and more tractable explanation of the inevitable probabilistic aspects of quantum theory, evidenced in the signature Uncertainty Principle, complementarity and non-locality will arise, without having to invoke the counter-productive and ill-conceived Copenhagen Interpretation.
Those who have remained abreast of continuing developments over the years in the field of new energy technologies, have almost unanimously come to the realization that the operational principles of devices documented to exhibit over-unity power and the like, rely on yet uncovered properties of the physical vacuum and its energetic origin.
Many groups have attempted to develop understanding to apprehend the principles of operation of the physical vacuum, as the real source of matter, energy and consciousness. For instance, perhaps due to their selective omission of non-orthodox results, many research groups have not acknowledged or even considered the possibility that some of these vacuum principles may actually transcend the Aristotelean dual-valued (discursive) reasoning processes that are normally brought to bear to apprehend the wheelwork of nature. In this researcher?s opinion, information garnered from a broader scope of knowledge sources, some of which advocate vacuum models abstracted from the mathematical tools of both multi-valued logic and non-orientable topologies, might actually be necessary for a more fuller understanding of vacuum structure.
Such non-intuitive notions recently propounded by quantum physicists as non-locality, or entangled states, or non-differentiable (but continuous) holographic fractal-microphysics recently developed as a model for quantum processes, or new relativistic-inspired concepts that involve closed-timelike curves, or superluminal wave transmission, or dual nature of the vacuum as a consequence of the multi-dimensioned framework of superstring theory, may be reflective of a necessity to seriously consider such vacuum models.

A bold new theory has surfaced pertaining to the structure of microscopic nature which, in junction with the recent findings of Russian research on torsion fields, has potential astounding implication for not only clarifying our understanding of the operation of vacuum-energy devices, but might shed fresh insight into many of the counter-intuitive features of quantum theory, such as the aspect of non-locality which accompanies quantum "entanglement".
The theory in question is the brain-child of physicist Mark Hadley, who has taken a truly maverick position, claiming that contrary to widespread belief, quantum theory is a consequence of the Einstein theory of gravity, instead of vice-versa. Expanding on the Wheeler-Misner theory of charged particles conceived as wormholes -- distortions in the topology of space -- Hadley has taken this approach one important step further. Positing sub-atomic particles as kinks in the topology of space and time, this new theory views elementary particles as a region of space-time so intensely warped that it bends back upon itself like a knot. Such a knot necessarily contains a "closed time-like curve". This time-loop, which is also one of the puzzling features of general relativity, enables a particle to interact with other particles not only in its past but in its future. Consequently, a new way of looking at entanglement is that sub-atomic particles, by virtue of the time machines they contain, are not constrained by time. There is nothing to prevent instantaneous interactions between particles, no matter the distance between them.

Due to recent theoretical and experimental evidence, the vortex model has assumed a more prominent role in theories dealing with fundamental structures in physics. This paper recounts the models behind some of these theories and their possible viability in helping to place the vortex on a firmer rational foundation in regards to fundamental physics. In particular, the paper explores a specific vector field geometry from the annals of hydrodynamics and electrodynamics which describes such a vortex configuration. The significance of this sheared-helix topology is underscored in the contra-rotating (chiral) non-linear vortex fUaments discovered in plasma physics research, in which anomalous generation of energy is featured, unaccountable by standard classical electrodynamics. Vector field theory is shown to be deficient in its failure to incorporate this field configuration. The equivalent mathematical description of this structure via eigenfunctions of the curl operator is shown to reveal this geometry only recently as associated with the dynamics of fluid turbulence. Such a shared helical structure is also shown to be accompanied by helicity or "torsion" current, a topological property associated with the twisting of spiral streamlines which compose coherent toroidal structures having the signature of solutions. Such vortical entities can be shown to represent a "hole" in space-time in an electromagnetic context. Certain solutions of Maxwell's have shown the possible existence of similar electromagnetic solutions which have appeared experimentally as condensed charge units produced from abrupt discharges in a plasma. Accordingly, the implications of the unique chiral vortex morphology for future developments in the nascent field of vacuum energy science is examined.
