Description
Newton's simple enigma has challenged physicists and philosophers for four centuries; this paper announces a break in the intellectual log jam that opens the door to new insights and progress in physics. First we address test results that support the existence of a flexible aether and note some of its properties. What follows is an analysis of the special relativity axiom. Then comes a historical review of the NB problem, with notable contributions to its interpretation from Newton and Mach. Next, a outline of the experiment and its inherent and persistent paradox. Finally the conclusion will inexorably be drawn that the only reference frame that can be used to understand Newton's Bucket is the same as the other tests done by Sagnac and R. Wang using EM means to detect aether... The lab frame.
